Q:

USB Drive Showing 0 Bytes – USB Data Recovery Fix

have you ever connected a USB flash drive only to discover that it shows 0 bytes used, 0 bytes free, or appears completely empty, even though it previously contained important files?

This issue can occur due to file system corruption, virus attacks, improper ejection, bad sectors, or partition errors. In many cases, your data may still be recoverable.

I had a similar issue after connecting my USB to a public computer. The drive showed 0 bytes, but recovery software found most of my files.

Improper removal can sometimes corrupt the file system while leaving the data intact. Before formatting the drive, check if it’s visible in Disk Management and consider creating a backup image of the USB before attempting recovery.

My 64GB USB suddenly started showing 0 bytes after I removed it without ejecting. Windows detects the drive, but I can’t access any files. Has anyone recovered data from a drive in this condition?
