AI suggested fixing corrupted video with “sample file method”. Works?

So, I tried all the AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude AI, Gemini, Perplexity, and so on while searching on fixing a corrupted MP4 video recorded on my Samsung S26 Ultra, and it suggested something called a “sample file method” for repairing unplayable videos. Has anyone here actually tried this? Sounds a bit technical.

Same here. From what I understand, it uses another working video from the same device to rebuild the corrupted one. Not sure how reliable it is though.

Yeah, I’ve seen that suggestion too. It usually comes up when the video is badly corrupted, like when recording stops abruptly. But I’ve never personally tried it.
