Q:

Can anything be recovered after factory resetting my iphone 14?

If an iphone 14 (ios 18) was factory reset, lets say..no iCloud sync, no backups, is there any way to get internet history, cache, or anything at all back?

I’ve seen people say factory reset wipes everything permanently, but also seen stuff about recovery tools or even forensics being able to pull data. Not sure what’s real anymore.

Yup. Once you factory reset an iPhone with no backups, and no syncs ..it’s game over. Even forensic labs wouldn’t get much unless they had direct access to iOS firmware (which they don’t).

Ohkay, no syncs either. Just the phone itself. So basically, it’s done?

Only chance would be if you had a Mac or PC that synced with the iPhone before reset. Some tools can extract old Safari data from local backups.

Nah, browser cache is volatile. It’s the first to go. And without iCloud or a local backup, you’ve got almost nothing to work with.

Yeah, figured. But like… nothing left at all? Not even browser cache?

If it’s just a normal factory reset, your chances are slim…safe to say..close to impossible. It kind of deletes everything. Especially on newer ios versions with encryption.
