Hi everyone,

I’ve been encountering the 0xc00000e5 error code on my Windows 11/10 system, and it’s preventing certain applications from launching properly. The error appears randomly, sometimes during startup and other times when opening specific programs.

I’ve already tried basic steps like restarting the PC, running a virus scan, and updating Windows, but the issue still persists.

Could anyone share effective methods or proven fixes for resolving the 0xc00000e5 error on Windows 11?

Usually rebuilds headers using a healthy photo from the same camera. Worth trying before giving up.

Interesting. Does it actually rebuild the image or just patch it?

I’ve fixed similar blocky images using photo repair software. Not magic, but works surprisingly often.

If the file sizes look normal, that’s a good sign. Viewer might choke, but the data could still be there.

Got it. I already copied everything. The corrupt ones won’t open anywhere though.

Before doing anything else, stop using that card. Copy everything once and don’t write to it again.

Sadly yes, especially cheaper ones or if they’ve been filled to the brim a lot. Also unsafe eject can do it.

That’s what scares me. Card is only a year old though. Can cards degrade that fast?

Yeah, seen this with dying SD cards. Even if most files copy fine, a few get messed up.

Some of my photos randomly turning corrupt after transfer. Any ideas?

Then chances drop a lot. You *can* try an android data recovery scan from a PC, but don’t expect miracles on modern Android.

Yeah… installed a few apps before I realized files were missing

Important question: did you keep using the phone after setup? Installing apps overwrites deleted storage fast.

WhatsApp media might still be in Drive if chat backup was on. Screenshots are usually gone unless Photos backup was active.
