Try using iphone data recovery software with a “crash recovery” or “iOS repair” mode. If the phone stays on long enough post passcode, it may pull data before the reboot kicks in.

I Need to find Sandisk or Lexar?

Oh yeah, totally no difference—UHS-II just exists so tech nerds have something extra to argue about. Who needs faster speeds for high-res photos or 4K videos anyway? It’s not like performance matters when you’re just trying to capture your cat doing backflips.

That’s the tricky part because once passcode is entered, ios mounts the data partition. If the system crashes there, it could be a corrupted file or directory.

Yeah, I was thinking something similar. It’s weird because it stays on just fine until the passcode is entered.

That’s annoying! Sometimes deleted files don’t actually free up space right away. Have you checked for hidden files or tried formatting the card?

I am planning to buy a new SD card as mine’s lost. I am very new to technology and I don’t understand the difference between UHS-I and UHS-II SD cards. Does it actually make a noticeable difference in speed or performance for things like photos and videos?

Ah yes, the classic ‘no backup, everything’s local, and it crashes on unlock’ scenario, the ideal situation for a first iPhone data recovery attempt.
Should be a breeze. 😅

Sounds like a boot loop triggered post authentication. Seen it once after a corrupt update. Data recovery might be possible if the system isn’t totally wrecked.

Had a client come in today with an iPhone that powers on and boots to the lock screen, but the second she types her passcode, a spinning wheel shows up, then the phone restarts.
No icloud backup. All photos are local. She’s coming back tomorrow, and I’m supposed to try a data recovery, but honestly, I’ve never done one on iphone before. Any chance it’s possible?

Yup. Once you factory reset an iPhone with no backups, and no syncs ..it’s game over. Even forensic labs wouldn’t get much unless they had direct access to iOS firmware (which they don’t).

I’m having trouble reinstalling Windows 10 on my PC and could use some guidance.
