If your system is already showing signs like slow performance, missing files, or frequent crashes, don’t wait too long.

I’d recommend:

Recover important files first (You can use something like Stellar Data Recovery software as Vivian mentioned)
Then format or replace the drive if needed

Trying repairs on a failing disk without backup can lead to permanent data loss.

Another thing you can try is disabling automatic repair temporarily to see if Windows is stuck in a loop:

  • Open Command Prompt (Admin)
  • Run:
  • chkntfs /x C:

But this is just for troubleshooting – don’t leave it disabled permanently if your drive actually has issues.

Also, check:

  • SATA/SSD cables
  • BIOS settings
  • Disk space (low space can sometimes trigger issues)

Yeah, that happens sometimes, especially if the transfer got interrupted or the file header got messed up. Does it show any error in VLC?

Adding to what Toby said, before doing any major fixes, back up your data immediately. Repeated scanning/repairing cycles can be a warning sign of disk failure.

If you already lost files or can’t access them, you might want to try a reliable recovery tool. I’ve personally used Stellar Data Recovery software, and it worked well for recovering files from a corrupted drive. It’s pretty straightforward and supports different file types.

Hey everyone, I ran into a weird issue. I recorded an important video on my phone, but after transferring it to my laptop, it just won’t play. It either shows a black screen or freezes. Has anyone dealt with something like this?

Thanks, everyone!

I tried Safe Mode, but it still didn’t detect the storage.

I’ve connected the drive to my PC, you can try Stellar Data Recovery; it worked for me.

Hi,

This message usually appears when Windows detects file system errors or possible corruption on your drive. It’s often triggered by improper shutdowns, bad sectors, or sudden power loss.

Here are a few things you can try:

  • Let the scan complete – Interrupting it can make things worse.
  • Run CHKDSK manually
  • Open Command Prompt as admin
  • Type: chkdsk C: /f /r
  • Restart your system
  • Check drive health using SMART tools
  • Update drivers and Windows

If the issue keeps happening, your drive might be failing.

Hey everyone,

I’ve been running into an issue on my Windows PC where it keeps showing the message “Scanning and Repairing Drive” every time I boot up. It sometimes takes a long time, and I’m worried there might be something seriously wrong with my hard drive.

Has anyone dealt with this before? What causes this issue, and how can I fix it safely without losing my data? Also, if something goes wrong, what’s the best data recovery software to use?

I’ve used Stellar Data Recovery for external drives before , it’s pretty good.

For PS4:

  • It can scan RAW/unrecognized drives
  • You can preview recoverable files
  • Works best if the drive isn’t physically damaged

If the drive is clicking or not spinning – software won’t help, you’d need professional recovery.

Yeah, that error usually points to a failing or disconnected hard drive. First thing I’d suggest:

  • Power off completely
  • Remove the HDD
  • Reseat it properly
  • Try again

If it still fails, the drive might be dead.

About recovery, PS4 uses a proprietary format, so not all software works well. I’ve heard of Stellar, but haven’t personally used it on PS4 drives.

Hey everyone,

I’m having a serious issue with my PS4. When I try to boot it up, I get the error:

“Cannot Access System Storage (CE-34335-8)”

I’ve tried restarting multiple times, unplugging everything, and even reconnecting the hard drive, but nothing seems to work. I’m worried the HDD might be corrupted or failing.

My main concern right now is losing all my saved data. I didn’t back everything up recently (yeah… regret that now).

Question:

Is there any way to fix this error without losing data?

And if the drive is damaged, what’s the best data recovery software to retrieve files from a PS4 hard drive?

I came across something called Stellar Data Recovery — has anyone used it for console drives? Does it actually work?

Any help would be really appreciated

Most likely it’s a format issue—iPhone 13 Pro uses HEIC, which older systems like MacBook Pro 2015 can struggle with.

Yeah that’s actually scary 😬 and you’re not wrong to feel that way. Google Photos is usually reliable, but it’s not meant to be your only backup. Stuff like corruption or sync glitches can happen over time.

Real talk: if it’s acting this unstable, don’t trust it again even if you “fix” it. Backup anything you can ASAP and replace it.

I used to work with someone at a camera store that would try to fix this with a little coffee stir straw. If you can imagine getting the end of the bent pin into the end of the straw and using that to straighten it. With it being the pin on the end, you’ve got a decent chance of being able to fix it.
