Hi everyone,
I’ve been running into a blue screen error on Windows that shows up as:
EXCEPTION_ON_INVALID_STACK
It usually happens while the system is under load, but sometimes it occurs randomly after startup. I’m not sure whether this is related to drivers, hardware, or corrupted system files.
Has anyone here experienced this error?
What typically causes the EXCEPTION_ON_INVALID_STACK BSOD?
Are there any reliable troubleshooting steps I can take?
Should I be looking into memory/hardware checks, or is this more of a software issue?
Any step-by-step help or fixes would be very welcome.
Thanks in advance!
Hi everyone,
My Windows PC has recently been getting stuck on the “Welcome” screen after startup. It doesn’t fully load into the desktop, and I often end up having to restart multiple times.
I’ve seen this issue mentioned online, but solutions seem to vary.
Has anyone successfully fixed this problem?
What usually causes a PC to hang at the Welcome screen?
Are there safe troubleshooting steps I can try without losing data?
Is there a list of reliable fixes I could go through (like 5–6 methods) to solve this?
Any advice, detailed steps, or proven fixes would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Hello everyone,
I keep running into Windows Update error 0x80073712 on my PC. From what I understand, this error usually means that some update files are missing or corrupted. Because of it, I can’t install certain updates successfully.
Has anyone here managed to fix this before?
What causes error 0x80073712 exactly?
Are there any built-in tools (like DISM or SFC) that can repair this issue?
Should I manually reinstall updates, or is there a safer fix?
Any step-by-step guidance would be really helpful.
Thanks in advance!
Hi all,
I’ve recently started getting a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) on my Windows PC, and the error points to wdfilter.sys. It seems to happen randomly, sometimes while I’m working, other times during startup.
I’ve tried basic troubleshooting like restarting, but the issue keeps coming back. From what I’ve read, it might be related to drivers or corrupted system files.
Has anyone experienced this before?
What usually causes the wdfilter.sys BSOD?
Are there specific drivers or updates I should check?
What steps can I take to fix or prevent this from happening again?
Any detailed help or fixes would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
The EXCEPTION_ILLEGAL_INSTRUCTION error happens when a program tries to use a CPU instruction your processor can’t run. Common causes are corrupted files, incompatible software, outdated drivers, overclocking, or hardware issues. To fix it, reset any overclocked CPU or RAM, update your BIOS, run sfc /scannow and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth to repair Windows files, and update or reinstall key drivers like graphics and chipset. Reinstall programs that trigger the error, check they’re compatible with Windows 11, and run CPU/RAM tests to rule out hardware problems. Booting in Safe Mode or a clean boot can help identify conflicting software.
Error 0x80300024 usually happens when Windows can’t install to the selected drive. To fix it, check that your BIOS settings are correct: set SATA mode to AHCI, disable Secure Boot, and make sure the drive is recognized. Disconnect all other drives except the one you’re installing to. Use diskpart to clean the drive, convert it to GPT (for UEFI) or MBR (for legacy BIOS), create a primary partition, and format it as NTFS. Also, make sure your installation USB is correctly made and try using a USB 2.0 port. If the problem continues, check the drive for errors or bad sectors.
Good shout, I’ll check my other Gmail. If that doesn’t work, I’ll try the recovery tool
Also, if the photos were on your Google Photos but maybe didn’t show up, double check the archive, trash, or even logged in with the wrong account. Happened to me once — I had two Gmail accounts and all my pics were chilling in the other one.
Nope, don’t need to jailbreak. Just hook the phone up to a computer, run the software, and see if it detects recoverable files. They usually let you preview before you pay. If your trip pics are still lingering in storage, you’ll see them.
I didn’t have icloud on..I relied only on Google Photos. If I try one of those recovery tools, do I need to jailbreak or root the phone?
Yep, your best bet is third-party recovery software. Some tools can scan iPhones directly and pull deleted pics or videos even after you’ve cleared Recently Deleted. Not always 100%, but I’ve seen people get lucky.
I had a similar scare a year ago. Google Photos only backs up when the app is open + on Wi-Fi + enough storage in your account. If any of those weren’t happening, it won’t actually upload. 😩
As for recovery — don’t keep adding new stuff on your iPhone. The deleted data sometimes lingers until it’s overwritten.
If you wiped them from Recently Deleted, it’s trickier. Apple doesn’t really give you options beyond iCloud (if that was on). Check if you maybe had iCloud Photos syncing by default? Sometimes people forget it’s enabled.
So I did something really stupid and now I’m panicking. I thought my photos were all safely backed up to Google Photos, so I deleted them off my iPhone to free up space, even cleared the “recently deleted” folder. Turns out… Google didn’t back up everything, and now I’ve lost a bunch of pictures and videos from my recent trip abroad.
Is there ANY way to get them back? Or maybe some expert shop that can try recovery? I don’t mind paying if that’s what it takes. Feeling sick right now.
I’ve got this old OnePlus X lying around (Android 6). The screen stopped working a while back and I even ordered a replacement, but turns out that one doesn’t work either. Could be me messing up the install, not sure.
Either way, I’m basically stuck with the phone’s mainboard and no working display. I don’t care about fixing it anymore, I just really want to get the data off it. Tons of old pics and notes are still inside.
Anyone here know if there’s a way to pull the data without a screen, or am I screwed?
