How to use LTO Tapes to backup your Synology NAS ?

Backing up a Synology NAS to LTO tape requires using a dedicated backup server, since Synology DSM does not directly support tape drives. The NAS data is shared with the backup server over SMB, NFS, rsync, or iSCSI, and then written to tape using backup software such as Veeam, Archiware, Retrospect, Bacula, or Amanda.
