Q:

How to Fix Windows 11 PC Not Waking Up from Sleep Mode?

My Windows 11 PC won’t wake up from sleep mode, and I’ve had to force shutdown the system multiple times to regain access. While troubleshooting power settings, drivers, and BIOS options, I’m concerned that repeated forced restarts might lead to file corruption or data loss. Has anyone experienced missing or inaccessible files due to this issue, and would using dependable data recovery software be recommended to recover important data if needed?

On Windows 11 this combo can cause the system to hang and refuse to wake. Go to Power Options, Advanced settings, turn off Hybrid Sleep, then open Command Prompt as admin and run powercfg /h off to fully disable hibernation, then reboot. This usually stops the forced shutdown cycle. Forced restarts can cause file system errors but actual data loss is rare, and I would only consider something like Stellar Data Recovery if files are already missing or unreadable after the issue is resolved.
