How to Fix Error 0x80300024 During Windows Installation?
Hi all,
I keep getting error 0x80300024 when trying to install Windows — it says it can’t install to the selected partition. I’ve tried changing USB ports, adjusting BIOS boot order, deleting/recreating partitions, and even running diskpart clean, but no luck.
Has anyone found a reliable fix for this error?
Thanks!

Error 0x80300024 usually happens when Windows can’t install to the selected drive. To fix it, check that your BIOS settings are correct: set SATA mode to AHCI, disable Secure Boot, and make sure the drive is recognized. Disconnect all other drives except the one you’re installing to. Use diskpart to clean the drive, convert it to GPT (for UEFI) or MBR (for legacy BIOS), create a primary partition, and format it as NTFS. Also, make sure your installation USB is correctly made and try using a USB 2.0 port. If the problem continues, check the drive for errors or bad sectors.
