Q:

Corrupted SD Card Fix?

I recently bought an SD card on ali-express. Yeah, I knew what I was getting into, but I want to try and fix it anyway. I tried using chkdsk /f /x /r on it and tried formatting it on the deck and it didn’t work. Is there anything else I can try?

It’s most probably not “corrupted” but rather flashed to report a size larger than it’s original size which will lead to files corrupting when you write too much onto it. They usually take 2-8GB SD cards and make them display anything from 256GB to 2TB.

If CHKDSK and formatting didn’t work, try data recovery software, such as stellar data recovery.

– Free scan first

– Connect SD card

– Scan → Preview files → Recover to PC

– 85-95% success for SD corruption
