Q:

Any advice on fixing bad microSD cards?

I know this is general but others may have encountered a similar issue. My card doesn’t want to hold it data. Files either disappear or they corrupt when I add them. Is there anyway to fix this without buying a new card as the card is a new card. It’s not generic card either, it’s a Samsung so I don’t know why it’s not working properly unless it’s not a genuine card. Any help?

Unfortunately sometimes duds happen, even with reputable brands. There’s no way to fix a broken or failing SD card. Get a replacement.

yes, corrupted microSD cards can usually be fixed.

Quick fixes to try:

CHKDSK: Run chkdsk X: /f /r in Command Prompt (X = SD letter)

DiskPart: Clean + reformat (if no data needed)
